REGULATING PSYCHOLOGISTS IN NOVA SCOTIA SINCE 1980

In terms of self-directed learning, is watching instructional videos on Youtube permitted? I am talking about videos that are posted by seemingly credible sources, such as the psychology department of a particular university, for example, or a video in which the presenter is regarded as a credentialled expert in the presentation content. If Youtube videos are okay for this purpose, it would be one point per hour of viewing, right?

To answer your question, I was advised that NSRP doesn’t vet individual videos for self-directed learning, and I suggest that you could list the videos and the source if you would like. It could be tied to one’s CC Learning Plan and would be within the discretion of the registrant, and would receive the credit as you noted.
