Psychologist members will be appointed through a competency-based process. For the competencies the Board looks for in its members, see Board Member Competencies (PDF).

Public representatives are appointed by the Governor in Council. For information on serving as a public representative, visit the Nova Scotia Boards and Commissions portal.

 Note: The Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology (NSBEP) transitioned to the Nova Scotia Regulator of Psychology (NSRP) under the Regulated Health Professions Act on November 24, 2025.
