I am writing to inquire regarding applying to the candidate register. I have completed my coursework and practicum in Acadia University’s MSc Clinical Psychology program and I have secured a positions pending graduation, as well as a NSBEP supervisor. However, I am in the final stages of completing my thesis. I’m wondering if it is possible to initiate the application process prior to defending my thesis, or do you require that this component is also completed prior to the application being submitted?I am also wondering whether you require NSBEP supervision for all areas of practice. For example, if I intend to practice EMDR (with the relevant certifications) in addition to other modalities, is it necessary to have NSBEP supervision with someone who has expertise in all modalities, or is it sufficient to have a supervisor with expertise in most, but not all modalities, in addition to peer consultation and collegial support in the areas that the supervisor does not practice.
