I am writing with a question regarding continuing education vs. expansion of practice for candidate register psychologists. I am currently a candidatenregister working as a school psychologist. Although my school psychology Master’s program included coursework on consultation skills and mentalnhealth disorders, it did not include counseling or therapy training. Some other school psychology training programs do include such coursework, andnthere is an increasing demand for mental health supports within schools alongside evolving education policies and service delivery models.
