I am a PhD counselling psychology intern from the University of Alberta, who is completing my internship at the Edmonton Health Consortium in Edmonton. I am originally from Nova Scotia but moved here to complete the internship. Pre-covid, interns were expected to be living in the province in which they were practicing/seeing clients, as services were provided in person. However, as a result of the pandemic, flexibility has been provided to psychologists, allowing them to see clients in other provinces via telehealth services. I am wondering if the same flexibility can be provided to interns? Specifically, would I be able to return to NS and continue to see clients in Alberta via telehealth?
