REGULATING PSYCHOLOGISTS IN NOVA SCOTIA SINCE 1980

As a school psychologist, when it comes to expanding services and building competency in providing psychotherapy (particularly CBT), is there a specific process to go about doing this?Also, do I need to fill anything out/get consent to share a completely de-identified report with my NSBEP supervisor for supervision purposes?

For expanding with CBT, we would recommend that you review and complete with your NSRP supervisor, the process for developing a learning plan in the Supervision Handbook (page 18).

Normally the ordinary consent process that a candidate register psychologist carries out in relation to explaining they have NSRP supervisor is key, but the NSRP does not have an additional consent process for sharing a de-identified report. However, if you had concerns and/ or would be prefer to obtain consent specific for this purpose you would be free to do so.
