REGULATING PSYCHOLOGISTS IN NOVA SCOTIA SINCE 1980

Starting September 2025, students beginning professional psychology training programs must document their training hours and experiences as per the NSRP Guidelines for Documenting Professional Psychology Training Hours and Experiences. This pilot program supports supervisors in creating consistent supervision plans and ensures standardized documentation for Candidate Register applications. 

Students may use Time2Track, the NSRP-provided Excel spreadsheet (available for download), or another tracking method, provided it captures all required information as specified by NSRP. The documentation must include:  

  • Client demographics (de-identified)  
  • Assessment and intervention activities  
  • Diagnoses and supervision hours  
  • Support activities

The pilot will not alter existing registration requirements but aims to refine supervision processes. Access the full policy, guidelines, and provided spreadsheet below:
