I am currently completing my application to be a candidate registrar with NSBEP and have a question regarding the psychological practice profile. I read through the “Appropriate Practice Areas” document, however, it does not have a section describing “Academic”.

I am not planning/have not before taught psychology as a professor (except teaching classes as a TA), and was therefore not planning to check that area of competency. However, I have provided clinical supervision to several clinical psychology graduate students (while receiving supervision of supervision, of course!) and would want to keep providing clinical supervision for practicum students. I do have some course work in this area as well. Would I need to check “Academic” in this case? Or is providing clinical supervision (i.e., clinical teaching) included in declaring competency in “Clinical Psychology”, etc?​
