I am emailing to inquire about direct observation for supervision.

Would my supervisor reading a complete report count as direct observation? Would my supervisor watching me score protocols (example: WISC and WIAT) count as direct observation?

These activities would not be considered direct observation; however, they would still be considered valid methodologies for supervision.

Direct observation is considered to have taken place when the supervisor observes the candidate completing direct work with clients. For more information about this and other issues that can arise, NSRP has provided some guidelines on supervision:
