To answer your question, you have several options open to you:* You can remain on the registry and your status remain “active”. This allows you to practice psychology.
* If you are not going to be practicing psychology for the school year of September 2019 to June 2020, then when it is time to renew you registration for 2020 you could send the NSRP a request to change your status to “Inactive’ explaining the reason for the request. The fee for inactive status is $100.00.
* You can choose the withdrawn status at the time of renewal.
Registrants can withdraw from the Register and apply for reinstatement at any time within the next two years without requirement of a new application.
However, a complete application must be submitted if a registrant is withdrawn for a period exceeding two years. Registrants wishing to withdraw from the Register must submit a written request to do so to NSRP.
Please note that for the statuses of both inactive and withdrawn, you would not be able to practice psychology until such time as you request a change to “active”.
