I’m a Candidate Register psychologist (C#10883) who was placed on the registration list September 22, 2021. I work in private practice and my clients’ insurance claims are being denied due to the insurance provider asserting I am not registered. Manulife specifically has requested proof of my registration but has continued to reject my client’s claim even though she included my proof of registration document from NSBEP.

When Dr. Farquhar, the clinic lead at Coastal Psychology, contacted Manulife they suggested that NSBEP sends them proof of registration of new registrants at a monthly interval. If this is the case, I’m wondering when insurance providers will receive this information so I can inform my client. If NSBEP doesn’t typically do this please let me know as I will need to troubleshoot this further.
