My supervisor and I were wondering if you can inform us about NSBEP approved competencies outlined in the MASP program from Mount St Vincent University.

More specifically, we want to make sure that providing CBT intervention for children and adolescents is considered a competency for MASP candidate registrants.

Could you also indicate for which areas/presentations CBT intervention can be provided by MASP candidate registrants?

Rather than issuing a blanket commentary on whether “CBT intervention for children and adolescents is considered a competency for MASP candidate registrants”, NSRP would recommend that registrants with the practice area of school psychology refer to its definition. Specifically, we recommend that you consider whether your use of CBT would relate to the following:School Psychology is the application of knowledge about human behaviour and development to the understanding of the social, emotional and learning needs of children, adolescents and adults, and to the creation of learning environments that facilitate learning and mental health.
