REGULATING PSYCHOLOGISTS IN NOVA SCOTIA SINCE 1980

Our child and adolescent focused clinicians have been conversing about the requirements for consent from both parents in grey areas. For instance, child is 10 and Dad has never played a role in his/her life but there are no legal documents regarding parental rights. The clinicians ask for legal documentation in clear cases but in this case the mother wouldn’t have any documents. Is there any guidelines I can read that focuses on these grey area cases? I am also reaching out to a family lawyer but wanted to check with the Board first.
