First, thank-you for re-circulating the “Return to In-Person Work Guidelines” along with the link to the current Public Health Order. I have reviewed both of these.
The current situation is as follows: I have a part-time private practice, and I am now seeing all of my clients virtually except for one client who I am seeing virtually for now but we’d like to return to in-person appointments as soon as possible (later this week if possible) as it is a unique case where we are completing trauma-specific therapy and there are certain concerns linked to the phone and technology which are making it difficult to complete the level of work we need to virtually right now. This client knew I would be reaching out to NSBEP to confirm that we can continue in-person as long as I continue to follow the Return to In-person work guidelines (sanitation, screening, cleaning, log, etc.), along with now having us both wear a mask inside regardless of whether we can keep 6 ft between us – it seems that protective eye equipment is not necessary at the current time?I just want to ensure that I am proceeding correctly and understanding correctly that we can still indeed engage in in-person work as long as it is done with all of these precautions in mind?Thanks so much for your advisement and your continued guidance during these challenging times!

I have been asked to provide “collegial support” by a (future) masters-level candidate. I am wondering what exactly this entails, and if there are any ‘requirements’ as the ‘support’ person? For example, is there a formal evaluation? Is there a required number of hours of consultation that is expected? Or is this a very informal process wherein the candidate may lean on the support person on an as-needed basis until they become registered?

I am looking for some clarification on whether reports should be co-signed. Specifically, assessments were completed by a Psychologist (Candidate Register) during full-time employment. Now that there is parental leave for the same Psychologist, the individual is no longer on the Candidate Register, but is still responsible for completing the assessment reports. Even if the person was on the Candidate Register at the time of assessment completion, would there now need to be a co-signing Psychologist in order to submit the outstanding reports, or can the person still independently sign as a Psychologist (Cand. Reg)?
